If you have ever had to deal with the pain and suffering from a migraine, then you are fully aware of the fact that these can ruin a day or night in an instant. Few things in this world will ever compare to the pain that a person will experience with a migraine. Don’t believe it?, ask a woman which hurts more childbirth or a migraine? In the end all you really are concerned with, is getting the pain to stop and getting some relief.

If you ask your local doctor as to what is it that causes your migraines, you are not very likely to get a straight answer. The reason is, that the exact cause of migraines is not known. It is also a mystery as why some people will never experience one a day in their life, while other a plagued, in some cases weekly. All that is known for sure is that migraines can turn very ugly, real fast. Migraines can fall into certain groups and you are actually able to do things that will keep the pain to a minimum and speed up the “breaking” time. When in the middle of an attack, you will try anything to get the pain to go away, and that does mean anything.

Different types of Migraines that People Have

The first type is called a tension migraine. These are as the name indicates caused by tension. There are several different things that may cause a person to be tense. Their job, things at home, finances; whatever the cause, it is important that you treat these with caution and get past them. These are caused when blood is trapped in a person’s head due to the veins from the neck and shoulders constricting. This leads a person to be in a moderate amount of pain. The quickest and most effective way of getting rid of it is through rest and relaxation.

The next type is called an Olular. These are the types that many in the population suffer from. These are the migraines that can make the biggest of adults crawl into a ball and cry for relief. When a person is dealing with one of these there is only one thought, and that is for the pain to stop at any cost. The thing that makes these so unbearable is that they can come up with little to no warning and stick around for a long while. There is no quick relief from this type of migraine. But a trip to the emergency room is a god start. It has been shown that treatments with Nitrous Oxide can be effective in shortening the amount of time an Olular migraine lasts.

When it comes to the origins of Olular migraines there is little that is known about these types of Migraines. The one thing that is known is that these are the classic headaches that a person has and often times is the reason that they will cry like a baby begging for relief. Microsedular migraines are another type that are more commonly referred to as cluster migraines. These are many times related to the former type. These can many times be stopped before they begin if treated properly.
